Heading into the 4th fiscal quarter, possibility of any fast consensus regarding the Illinois budget seems more and more unlikely. After the stalemate became almost inevitable, the Illinois House met almost once a week t try to resolve the problem. Now, four months later, the schedule seems to have shifted from weekly to monthly, with no quick resolution expected.
