KANKAKEE, Ill. — The family of former Illinois Gov. George Ryan is holding an estate sale.
Ryan, who served as Illinois governor from 1999 to 2003, died on May 2 at his home in Kankakee at the age of 91.
Ryan was indicted in 2003 as part of a bribery scandal during his time as time as Secretary of State.
He was also best known for ending the death penalty in Illinois in 2000.
One of marquee items is a framed photos of Michael Jordan’s final shot with the Bulls. The last photo is signed by Jordan.
The estate sale began Thursday from 9 to 4 p.m. at runs through Sunday with the same time.
It takes place at 912 S. Greenwood Ave. in Kankakee.
